Cole grew up in Kirkland and attended Juanita high school (with fellow therapist Jordan Bork) where he was a three sport athlete playing football, basketball and baseball. He received a scholarship to continue his education while playing football at Central Washington University. Cole attained his BS in Clinical Physiology and minored in Athletic Training at CWU. He played on the defensive side of the ball which led to him suffering a knee injury that kept him out for a year. This injury allowed him to experience PT first hand and inspired him to become someone who wants to help people return their prior level of function. After completing college he returned to Kirkland where he worked at LWPT and Evergreen Hospital as a rehab aide. He also got involved in the community by becoming an assistant football coach at Juanita High School coaching linebackers and defensive backs, sending  five athletes to play collegiately and one still playing professionally. Cole’s coaching experience reached pass the gridiron to the basketball court where he was also an assistant girls basketball coach at local Kamiakin Middle School. After 3 years post-undergrad, Cole was accepted to the 4th ranked PT program in the nation, Northwestern University in Chicago, to pursue his dream of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Cole excelled academically and socially. While at Northwestern, he started the Black Student Affinity and Alumni group in response to the racial injustices surrounding George Floyd’s death. He hosted an open forum for 100 Black physical therapy students nationally to discuss race in our profession and provide a safe place to discuss social matters going on in the world. Cole also presented his research on stroke rehabilitation using electrical stimulation at the 2020 Combined Section Meeting. Cole has been apart of LWPT even as a DPT Intern finishing up his final rotation under the guidance of LWPT’s finest, Heidi, Mandie, Jordan, Joe, Ben, and Shawn and is eager to work with those in his community using the countless tips and lessons that were given to him by his LWPT mentors!

Cole has vast exposure and experience in treating athletes with ankles, knees and hip injuries. Cole’s experience with coaching also gives him a full appreciation for student athletes both physically and mentally  along with the importance of returning to sport as soon as possible.Outside of the orthopedic realm of PT, Cole has experience with Parkinson’s and Stroke rehab from his extensive time spent at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in Chicago and at Evergreen hospital learning from some of the Eastside’s best Neuro PT’s.

When Cole is not treating patients, he is more than likely watching the Seahawks, CWU or USC football, LA Lakers, Seattle Kraken and the beloved Mariners; he also loves to bowl, golf and BBQ. Cole has recently taken up indoor cycling through Peloton and is currently cycling under the tag, #LKWAPT and encourages you to ride with him under the tag. Cole is eager to work with you and bring some of the nation's top research in the Physical therapy field from NU to the Redmond Clinic!! Go JUA, Go cats!
