Kamy Brandt was born and raised in Sammamish, WA. Kamy attended Skyline High School where she participated in gymnastics and lacrosse. Kamy then went on to attend the University of Washington to earn her B.S. in General Biology. During her time at the University of Washington she worked as a Intern Athletic Trainer with the UW athletics department where she worked with Football, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and Track and Field. All of which supplied her with a wide breadth of knowledge in sports rehabilitation with varying injury profiles and sport specific interventions. Kamy also joined LWPT in 2016 as a rehabilitation aide and front desk administrator where she worked one on one with patients to help them schedule, fight for their insurance coverage and to keep the clinic running smoothly. She then decided it was time to experience sunnier weather therefore drove down to the sunny state of California where she attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos. When not at the beach, Kamy excelled in the classroom and achieved a 4.0 in her program. Upon graduation, Kamy received the Stanley V. Paris and Catherine E. Patla Award for Excellence in Manual Therapy as well as the Wanda Nitsch Scholastic Achievement Award for highest cumulative grade point average. Kamy has much experience in the outpatient ortho field where she worked in clinics across the west coast in San Diego, Eugene and El Cerrito with varying patient populations. During her time Kamy worked with both English and Spanish speaking patients. In her free time she loves to play guitar, pet any dog that she can, hangout with friends and try out local breweries.
