Caron is a Physical Therapist who has been practicing since 2008. Raised on a farm in Eastern Washington, Caron grew up working between her family’s farm and restaurant with her three brothers. She was active in a variety of sports including basketball, softball and track. Her first exposure to physical therapy came when she was 8 years old, and her oldest brother was seriously injured in a farming accident. She would go to his PT sessions and while she didn’t know the title of the individuals helping him, she knew they were integral in helping her brother recover and return to playing football. As a teenager she found herself in physical therapy after sustaining what would be a career ending knee injury while playing basketball. Over the years she went through a total of eight surgeries, making her physical therapists essentially an extension of her family. Spending so many years on the patient side, inspired Caron to transform a difficult experience into a positive and pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Caron attended Washington State University for her undergraduate degree graduating cum laude in biology with an endorsement in secondary education. While in Pullman, she taught science at an alternative high school, tutored at rural schools, volunteered in youth sports organizations, served leadership roles in various campus organizations and worked for the office of admissions. Over her summers she was a youth sports coach and was selected for a prestigious science education research grant through Pacific Northwest National Labs working at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Upon finishing her time at WSU, she spent a year working as a PT Aide before moving to Flagstaff, Arizona to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She chose to return to Washington with her husband to complete her clinical rotations prior to graduating magna cum laude from Northern Arizona University.

During her final clinic rotation, she became pregnant with her first child which ignited her interest in pelvic rehabilitation. Through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, and APTA she has received specialized training to treat the pregnant and postpartum population. Her training includes management of medical concerns during pregnancy, labor support, specific exercise prescription, and postpartum recovery. She is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES), which embodies a whole body approach to women’s health and fitness. Through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, she has specialized training that allows her to provide both internal evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor conditions. While at Premier Physical Therapy, she helped develop a program in pelvic rehabilitation from the ground up treating a wide variety of pelvic conditions, prenatal and postpartum cases. Over the years she has combined her background in education and her passion for women’s health to present to medical providers, fitness studios and parent groups. Her clinical interests also include preventative care in young athletes, recovery from joint replacement surgery, autoimmune disorders, and the treatment of a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. She really enjoys educating and empowering patients of all types with the knowledge of their bodies to help them succeed on their recovery journey.

In her free time, Caron enjoys baking, gardening, working out and supervising her husband on his home improvement projects. You will often find her cheering on her four active children in their athletic and musical pursuits and enjoying snuggles with the family Labrador Retriever.
